This template is well-suited for small amounts (under one euro). For larger amounts exceeding one euro, we have designed a suitable template for you (link).
With this ZUGFeRD invoice, you are well-prepared for upcoming e-invoicing mandates. The template comprises two parts: the standard PDF file (the human-readable component of the e-invoice) and the XML file (the machine-readable component, or Xinvoice). The Xinvoice (XML file) can be visualized at the following link, for example: https://www.elster.de/eportal/e-rechnung
The template automatically detects English-speaking customers and switches the language to English. It also identifies whether customers are located within or outside the EU—a crucial factor for VAT calculation—and integrates the appropriate text into the invoice. Naturally, customer details such as language, country, and VAT ID must be entered into JTL-Wawi beforehand.
Template content:
- Your logo at the top left
- Company details clearly displayed in the top right corner and in the footer
- Option to enter two sets of bank details, although only one can be selected for the XML file (a machine-readable, invisible XML attachment to the PDF)
- Item list including product descriptions, country of origin, variations, etc.
- Subtotal / carried-forward amount
- Breakdown of different tax amounts
- Partial payment amount or outstanding balance displayed separately
- Order number, order date, payment method, shipping method, delivery terms, customer VAT ID, date of service/delivery, and other legally required information
- Tax notes (e.g., intra-Community supply, reverse charge, VAT-exempt)
- QR code for the invoice amount to enable convenient payment via app
